Hiking

I’d always enjoyed hiking as a kid, but it wasn’t until much later in life that it became the addiction it is now. These days I can’t get enough of it, and always try to get some good walks in no matter where in the world my travels take me.

There’s nothing quite like long-distance hiking to calm my mind, lift my spirits, and work my legs until they refuse to go any further… and then get up in the morning and do it all again.

Camino de Santiago

I’ve walked somewhere north of 1000 miles on the Camino de Santiago, a network of medieval European hiking trails that converge on a spectacular cathedral in northwestern Spain. These are my trail guides, packing lists, and musings on some of the best experiences of my life.

UK Long-Distance Hiking Trails

I’ve written guides and roundups for several of the hikes I’ve done in the United Kingdom, plus what to pack if you’re planning to do one yourself.

Other Hiking Guides and Reviews

From New Zealand to the USA, these are the individual track guides and trip reports that didn’t warrant their own section, along with gear reviews.
