The Friday Photo #179 – Speeding taxis in New York

Today is my last day in the US – after three months in this vast country, I’m flying to Mexico to find a little place beside the beach for a few months. Wherever I end up, the chilled-out lifestyle will be a far cry from the frantic pace of my few days in New York City last month.

Honking horns, blaring sirens, people coming and going no matter the hour … and of course, those ubiquitous yellow cabs that seem to be on every street corner until you actually need one.

I love the energy of this city. There’s nowhere else quite like it in the world.
