The Friday Photo #62 – Raindrops on Vancouver Island

Raindrops on Vancouver Island

I’m just going to put it out there, I freaking love Vancouver Island.  The scenery, the views, the atmosphere … it’s just a beautiful part of the world.

While on a road trip with Dustin and Aaron last week we stopped at the side of the road beside a raging waterfall and snow capped mountains en-route to Tofino.  I took a million sweeping photos of the majestic scenery – and yet it was while playing with the macro function on my camera that I feel I best captured the essence of that little slice of paradise.

Let me know if you agree.

Absolutely.....if your camera doesn't have a macro lense on it, it's crap. So many times my best pics are the close ups I take with my macro. Beautiful shot.

Hi Dave I prefer the wider views and it would be great to see some of them. Unfortunately I dont think this compares with your shot of the sunset at Tofino.

Ahh well, sorry about that. Guess there's a good reason why I'm a writer and not a photographer hey?
