The Friday Photo #152 – Glacier goodness

Earlier this week I went for a little walk.
On a glacier.
As you do.
Fox Glacier, on the west coast of New Zealand’s South Island, is relatively easy to access. It’s only a few kilometres from the town of the same name, and the uphill trek from the carpark is as good a way as any to warm up. There are great views around every corner, but you can only walk on the glacier if you’re part of a guided tour. As an added bonus, though, you get to look hard-core with crampons and hiking poles.
Oh, and you get views like this one…
