The Friday Photo #127 – Tsarevets fortress, Bulgaria
Wandering around the town of Veliko Tarnovo in northern Bulgaria while on a free walking tour, we stopped to overlook Tsarevets fortress. It is one of the things that the town is famous for, and now that I could see it, I could understand why.
This thing is impressive, and incredibly massive. Like, sprawling over an entire hillside kind of massive.
Like, I got tired just thinking about walking around it all day kind of massive, and went back to sit beside the hostel pool instead.
