The Friday Photo #120 – Cathedral roof in Eger

Cathedral roof in Eger

Earlier this week I was in the town of Eger in northern Hungary, an area famous for the quality of its wines.  Obviously, therefore, I didn’t try any of them.

While exploring the crooked alleys and cobbled streets of the town centre, I did however come across the imposing sight of the town cathedral.  This large church – one of the biggest in the country – was impressive from the outside, but it was the view above my head after walking through the door that really took my breath away.
