The Friday Photo #110 – Melbourne trainyards

Southern Cross trainyards

I bought a new camera while I was in Melbourne last week, and while walking to meet a friend for coffee I stopped for a few minutes to have a play with it on an overpass above Southern Cross station, one of the city’s transport hubs.

While the intention is to work out how to move beyond point and shoot and fancy filters, it was fun to play with a few of the effects built into the camera.

Like this one, for instance.  Apparently it’s called "Dramatic Effect".

I can see why.

If you enjoyed this post please share it with your friends - it only takes a second but it makes a huge difference to me!

Hahah. This reminds me of when I was stuck for an hour and a half at a station up the line while some idiot was standing where you took this pic threatening to jump on the tracks. Good times! Makes me miss Melbs.

    • It’s a kick-ass city, that’s for sure… even with the train delays. :)
