Big announcement: Too Many Adapters is live!

A couple of weeks ago I laid out my plans for 2012. A few people have since told me that they seem pretty ambitious, and I guess they are. Still, I’ve never really been one to die wondering.
First on the list was releasing two new websites by the end of February. Well, as of today the first one is alive and kicking!
Back in the middle of 2010 I first met my friend Dustin, and we have seemed to just keep crossing paths all over the world ever since. Hanging out in Vietnam, Cambodia, Canada and Thailand, the idea of a website focused completely on technology for travellers was first thrown around in during those damp days in South East Asia, talked about continually for the following 18 months and has now finally come to fruition.
Too Many Adapters is the end result.
Both of us have been geeks even longer than we’ve been travellers, so we know what matters and what doesn’t when it comes to travel tech. If you want to know whether your phone is ready to take travelling, how on earth to back everything up from the road, which Kindle is the best for backpackers or pretty much anything else to do with "technology for travellers", we’ll be covering it.
There will also be round ups of the latest travel technology news, app and gear reviews, some no-holds-barred opinions and a bunch of other great stuff several times a week. Oh, and because we realise that no matter how much experience we have we’ll never know it all, we’ll also be reaching out to other tech-savvy travellers with plenty to say on the subject.
Ok, enough hype. Here’s what I would love you to do to help us get Too Many Adapters off to a flying start.
Help us out
Firstly, go take a look at the site. Leave a comment on the articles, and drop us a line telling us what you like and what you don’t. All feedback is highly welcomed … seriously.
Secondly, follow along for the ride. It would be fantastic if you liked our Facebook page, followed us on Twitter and added us to your circles on Google+. Subscribe to get the latest updates by email, or to our RSS feed if that’s your thing. Talking to ourselves is fine, but having a conversation is much more fun!
Lastly, tell your friends. If you like what we have to say then please share the site with your friends. I don’t care how you do it – anything from a Facebook "like" to sending a message by carrier pigeon is fine by me. Just help us get the word out!
I’m really excited about this new venture – this is something I have wanted to do for a long time, and by making it a dedicated site it will have the platform it needs to become a truly valuable technology resource for travellers.
If you enjoyed this post please share it with your friends - it only takes a second but it makes a huge difference to me!

Super congrats! Just liked you on FB & Twitter!
Checking out the site now…
Hi Dave. Very excited about your new site. So hard to find this information online and I have looked. I’m an American expat in Cape Town but am on a plane and overland quite a bit and these tech questions come up all the time. I’ll definitely check it out and look forward to great stuff coming through.
Great idea. There doesn’t seem to be another site like it. I think it will do really well! Nicely done.
Congrats! We met Dustin in CM and we love fellow geeks! Will be checking out the new site!
