So who on earth is this Dave guy anyway, and why should you care what he's doing??
Being born and raised in small town New Zealand provided me with the perfect beginnings for a lifelong travel addiction. If there's one thing guaranteed to make you want to get out and see the world, growing up in a little town in a little country at the bottom of the world is it.
After graduating from university with a degree in History and Political Science (ideal preparation for my subsequent technology career), I started my wanderings in the same way that many Antipodeans do - packing my meagre belongings into a backpack and heading for London. The subsequent years have seen me travelling through thirty-something countries and watching my 'must see' list grow larger almost as quickly as I've watched my bank balance grow smaller.
Currently based in Melbourne, Australia and busy planning what fantastic adventures 2010 is going to hold, I decided it was time to put ideas into action and bring this site to life. Part diary, part magazine, part Q and A column, my hope is that it can provide both resources and inspiration to help you - and me - live the travel dream at least a little every day.
